It’s not too often that I have the pleasure of DJing two events for a bride and groom, but I recently had the opportunity to do so. Dan and Megan first contacted me in November of last year when they were looking for a wedding DJ. So, we talked a bit through email and then set up a time to meet in person. As soon as I met them that Thanksgiving weekend I knew that I wanted to work with them. They’re a fun couple who I could tell love each other a lot and were simply looking to have a fun wedding reception. And, just as I knew I wanted to work with them, they were sure they wanted to have me be their wedding DJ.

We booked their wedding date at the end of that meeting and a few months later Megan sent me a message to reserve me for an other party; hers and Dan’s Jack and Jill. It’s great when someone just knows that you’re the DJ they want, even when they haven’t seen you in action yet. In fact, that’s something that I take pride in – the personal touch that I have when working with my clients. Even before we talk about the monetary investment that they’ll be making in the entertainment for their celebration, we sit down for a quick meeting over coffee (or any other beverage of choice) so that we can get to know each other.

The biggest factor to success when working with anyone is how well you get along, and that’s exactly why I like to meet my potential clients before they book me – because they get to see exactly who I am and how I can help them make their event everything they’re hoping for, but also so that I can get to know them, where they’re coming from, their expectations, how they got engaged, their dog’s name, their favorite food, and…well, you get the idea. I love getting to know the people I’m working with…

…and Megan and Dan are a prime example of this. From our first meeting, through the planning via email and phone, to their confidence that I’d do a great job at their Jack and Jill, they’ve put their trust in me because I took the time to listen and get to know them. I’m looking forward to meeting with them one more time before their wedding to finalize all of the little details. Then, I’ll be seeing them again in just a few weeks at their wedding reception, which I know will be awesome!

Here is my gig log with some video footage from their Jack and Jill party. I recorded the intro but never recorded a conclusion…sorry guys.

I recently began shooting video footage of most of the events that I DJ. Here is the most recent footage that I have posted. It’s from a wedding in Hudson, NH. It was a beautiful tent wedding in the couple’s front yard. The decorating was spectacular, thanks to Marlene of Casa Da Mar and Dave (one of the grooms) of Tsubaki Flowers. The most eye-catching piece of the decor were the two huge vases at the entrance to the tent – they were probably about 5 feet tall, filled with water and a simple branch of white flowers with blue lights attached. They looked elegantly modern at night…I was too busy DJing to get a night picture, but there are daylight shots on my Facebook page.
